ABOUT THE SMU MEOFL LAB
Established in 2007, our laboratory conducts mineralogical, and fluid/melt inclusion studies of ore deposits and other magmatic-hydrothermal systems. We focus on constraining the timing, origin and composition of magmatic-hydrothermal ore fluids and the development of novel exploration criteria for mineral resource exploration in Canada and abroad. Other key areas of focus include ore body characterization through bulk and microanalytical techniques, and archeometry of metallic artifacts.
